Prof Dr Haider Darain who is the first ever professor (Physical Therapy) in public sector university in the country, is working as Dean Allied Health Sciences Khyber Medical University, Peshawar. He completed his PhD in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh in 2015. His PhD program was fully sponsored by Higher Education Commission, Pakistan under faculty development project ‘Development of Khyber Medical University, Peshawar’. He became the first ever HEC approved PhD supervisor in physical therapy in the country in 2016.

I am Mian Sami Ullah. My early schooling was from Sir Syed Public School and intermediate from Farabi College Peshawar. I have done my Bachelors from Khyber Medical University in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology and my FYP topic was on ‘Prevalence of Hepatitis C in Peshawar’ and Masters from Hazara University in the field of Genetics. My research work was on ‘Expression of Interferon – stimulated Gene-15 (ISG15) In Hepatitis C Patient Treated with Ribavirin and Sofosbuvir’.
